Eimear graduated in Dentistry from the University of Liverpool in 1996 , followed by 2 years GPT between the Dental Hospital in Liverpool and practice in Warrington. Between 1998-2000 she worked as an SHO in the Ulster Hospital Dundonald, RVH and Altnagelvin hospital in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric depts. Within this time she obtained her FDS qualification from the Royal college of surgeons and physicians in Glasgow. Returning to Liverpool between 2000-2003 to undergo her higher specialist training in orthodontics achieving her MOrth qualification from the Royal college of Surgeons in Edinburgh 2003 and her Master in Dental Science from the University of Liverpool in 2004.
She opened Moy Orthodontic Clinic in 2008. As well as her large NHS children treatment commitment she treats Adults with aesthetic /ceramic brackets, lingual appliances and invialsign
She has a vast amount of experience treating hundreds of complex orthodontic cases
Ciara Campbell
Ciara graduated with a BA, BDentSc (Hons) from Trinity College Dublin in 1998 and worked in a mixed NHS/ Private General Practice for 5 years in London. She was then appointed as a Senior House Officer in Maxillo Facial Surgery in the Royal Surrey County Hospital completing her MFDS (RCS Eng) before being appointed to a Paediatric Dental Post in the Community Dental Services in Brighton.
She untook her 3 year full time Higher Speciality Training in Orthodontics in University College Cork completing her MOrth (RCS Edin) and a Doctoral Degree on smile aesthetics (DClinDent) in 2009. She worked for a further years in Cork University Dental School and Hospital completing her Certificate in PG Teaching and Learning and starting a MSc in Healthcare Management with RCS Ireland which she completed in 2014.
Ciara then returned to Barts and the London Hospitals for a further 2 years full time consultant training and was awarded FDSOrth(RCS Edin) in 2013 and was appointed as Locum Consultant in The William Harvey Hospital Kent, before being appointed in her permanent position as Consultant in Orthodontics in Altnagelvin Area Hospital where she currently works part time. She is involved in research and teaching and has published in the peer reviewed journals AJODO, EJO and JO. Her area of special interest is in the orthodontic and surgical management of facial deformity.
Rebekah McGonigle
Rebekah our orthodontic therapist started working in Moy Orthodontic Clinic when it opened in May 2008. She completed her initial NEBDN qualification in Nov 2008.
From this Rebekah was selected to undertake her future professional qualification in orthodontic therapy in January 2011 at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated with her Cert HE in orthodontic Therapy.
Following this success she continued to attain a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in December 2011. Rebekah is a great professional therapist integral to the team at Moy Orthodontic Clinic
