Adult Orthodontic Treatments

Private orthodontic treatment is increasingly popular and affordable.

You can chose to refer yourself for a private consultation or request a referral from your general dentist. After your initial consultation you will receive a written report advising you of treatment options we would recommended.

Ceramic fixed appliances

Rather than using stainless steel, the attachments may be made from a hard ceramic material to blend in with the tooth colour. This produces a more aesthetically pleasing appliance which is more of an attractive option particularly for adults. The orthodontic wires can also be tooth coloured to help improve the appearance further. Ceramic fixed appliances can be as effective as conventional fixed appliances at achieving tooth movement.

Iconix fixed appliances

Iconix Aesthetic Braces deliver dependable results in a beautiful and time-tested bracket body. A light gold/champagne-coloured aesthetic bracket that blends beautifully with your teeth for an understated yet striking look

Orthodontic Retainers

After orthodontic treatment a retainer prevents your teeth from moving. One set is covered along with treatment. Book in for a spare set of retainers from £140.
If you were not a patient here you can also book an appointment for retainers, please call 02887784827 for more information.

Sports Mouthguards

Reasons to wear a sports mouthguard:
  • Helps reduce chance of concussion
  • Protects jaw joints against injury
  • Protects lips and cheeks/ soft tissues from injury
  • Cushions teeth against impact
  • Helps prevent injuries to the jaws and neck

It is important to wear a mouthguard over braces when playing contact sport to prevent injury.

Self-fitting orthodontic mouthguards are available to purchase at reception.

Custom sports mouthguards are available for purchase from £60 when your treatment is complete. We will create a custom made mouthguard by taking an impression of your teeth and then having the laboratory build your mouthguard to perfectly fit your mouth. Your mouthguard will be in the colour of your choice with your name imprinted on it.
